Record hotel occupancy in La Paz and Los Cabos during Holy Week

The BCS Hotel Association reported an average occupancy rate of 92% during the Easter holidays, driven by domestic tourism. The tourism services sectors reported increases of up to 25% compared to 2024.
With more than 19,000 hotel rooms available in Los Cabos, the Easter holiday season is already beginning to be felt at the resort, which expects its peak travel on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, when hotel occupancy will reach nearly 90%.
"They stay in all the sub-destinations, so to speak, in Cabo San Lucas, in the corridor, and in San José del Cabo, unlike during Spring Break, when 50,000 visitors stay in Cabo San Lucas. So, the economic impact is very significant," explained Lilzi Orcí Fregoso, president of the Los Cabos Hotel Association.
He emphasized that this weekend is the busiest weekend, and April could close with 76 or 77% occupancy, thanks to these fluctuating peaks.
La Paz and Los Cabos recorded record hotel occupancy during Holy Week. La Paz surpassed 80% occupancy , driven by domestic and local tourism, with a focus on outdoor activities. Los Cabos, with 95% occupancy, also experienced high demand.
